FUPI Begins New Chapter of Internationalization with Student Exchange to UKM

This program serves as an initial step as well as a pilot project for FUPI's internationalization. Through this activity, the faculty affirms its commitment to expanding international academic networks and opening opportunities for cross-border collaboration in the future. The program participants consist of Adittiya Rizki Pratama and Ahmad Baabullah Fatahillah Akbar (Sociology of Religion Study Program); as well as Fiki Jazilatuz Zahwa, Nadhif Fathin Affatih, and Yusron Zakarsya Millah (Quranic Science and Exegesis Study Program).

The Dean of the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Islamic Thought, Prof. Dr. Robby Habiba Abror, S.Ag., M.Hum., gave a message to the students, "Happy learning in your new environment, build relationships with the academic community, and adapt quickly. Make the best use of your time to absorb the new culture and knowledge in Malaysia. Visit the campus library, exchange ideas with students and lecturers there. Take care of your health and continue to uphold and respect local customs and diversity. May your knowledge and experience increase, your horizons broaden, and the path to success open even wider."

Vice Dean 3, Dr. Ahmad Salehudin, also provided motivation and a message for the students to become proud ambassadors of the faculty. "Being pioneers of this program is certainly not easy, but I am confident that you are capable. Undergo this program with enthusiasm, maintain integrity, and bring honor to FUPI's good name on the international stage," he said.

Prior to departure, the students participated in pre-departure activities which included briefings on ethics and cultural adaptation, training on independent living abroad, as well as administrative socialization regarding visas and residence permits. Additionally, a refreshment session was held to strengthen solidarity and the participants' mental readiness.

While participating in the program in Malaysia, the students will receive guidance from both FUPI and UKM buddies. Not only gaining knowledge, but they are also expected to actively share their academic and cultural experiences through the Instagram account @apakhabar_bangi so that the public can follow their journey directly.

FUPI is optimistic that the success of this program will pave the way for broader and sustainable international cooperation. Moving forward, the faculty is committed to continuing the development of student exchange programs that are increasingly inclusive, progressive, and provide tangible benefits for strengthening the academic reputation of UIN Sunan Kalijaga at the global level.
