FUPI UIN Sunan Kalijaga Holds International Accreditation Preparation Workshop

In his remarks, the Dean of FUPI, Prof. Dr. Robby Habiba Abror, S.Ag., M.Hum., emphasized that preparing for international accreditation is a vital step in ensuring a measurable quality of education that remains relevant to global dynamics. “We aim to build a sustainable culture of quality, not just to meet standards, but to ensure that all academic processes within FUPI become increasingly effective and quality-oriented,” he stated.

Vice Rector I of UIN Sunan Kalijaga, Prof. Dr. Hj. Istiningsih, M.Pd., also stressed that the effort toward international accreditation must be carried out systematically and in a planned manner. She mentioned that the university fully supports every faculty in strengthening academic governance to align with global standards. “This workshop is part of the institution's commitment to enhancing the campus's academic reputation while opening up wider opportunities for international collaboration,” she said.

During the core session, the two speakers provided comprehensive presentations on the crucial elements of international accreditation. Prof. Khamami Zada emphasized the importance of meticulous documentation, consistency between the vision-mission and curriculum implementation, as well as concrete evidence of ongoing quality assurance practices. Meanwhile, Dr. Widya Wasityastuti highlighted assessment aspects that often pose challenges, such as the traceability of learning outcomes, lecturers' research track records, and the integration of continuous improvement into all academic processes. Both speakers emphasized that international accreditation can only be achieved through structured and sustainable collective work.

Participants then actively engaged in discussions to identify the needs and challenges of their respective study programs in the process of preparing quality instruments. The workshop, which ran from morning until afternoon, serves as FUPI's initial step in formulating a more structured quality improvement strategy. Through this activity, the faculty has begun mapping out the operational steps required to ensure readiness for the international accreditation process in the future.
